Automatic Dependent Surveillance - Broadcast

A standard usually used in manned aviation to transmit flight related data to other traffic as well as the air traffic controllers. It broadcasts each aircrafts callsign, position, altitude, heading, speed, etc. and can therefore help to avoid collisions when received and displayed on a map. While it is normally not mandatory, it can be required by the authorities in some areas - even for UAV.
